2015 Summer Journal

Onward & Upward

Happy Friday! The past few days have been a whirlwind of family fun: hiking, fishing, and enjoying our time together. I’m sad to say that this wonderful crew will be leaving Montana tomorrow, and we’ll be getting on our way as well.

Here are a few snaps from our recent adventures:

Fly Fishing at Three Dollar Bridge in Madison County, Montana

Hiking to Coffin Lake in Madison County, Montana

Before we head out, we have some repairs to do on the bus. The biggest is adjusting our propane fill system: the way we mounted the tank doesn’t leave enough room for the nozzle to fill the tank. We’re also going to rework the toilet vent so it points backwards rather than straight down (we were getting a little bit of stink while driving and are pretty sure it’s our fault for installing the vent straight down.) I’ll have some more info on these changes over the next few days.

After that’s done, we’ll be getting on the road. Any ideas where we’re headed?

Loved meeting you guys this past week at our family reunion! What an adventure you are on! We hope the best for you as you explore the outdoors in your awesome bus! The hike to Coffin Lake was great, at least until I got sick and had to high-tail it out to get back home…

    • Great to meet you too, Julie! I hope the virus doesn’t discourage you guys from coming back to West in the future – we would love to see you again! Keep in touch 🙂
